Times Table Duel.

The boys from Adam Up have been busy again with this clash of their multiplication characters.

Area and Perimeter.

Times Table Songs:

Plus the outtakes, had to include these...genius.
Thought it was easier to put all of the multiplication songs together, then add resources down here. Best way to learn tables is through rote I feel so the chants are a great addition to the www.adamup.co.uk website.

Multiply by 10 and 100

Adam up suggest doing these funky actions while listening to the songs:
1, Jump 1 place to the left.
2, Cross your forearms (like the X Factor) to make the multiplication sign.
3, Hold up '10' fingers when you sing '10'.
4, Make 2 circles with your index fingers and thumbs whilst sticking your remaining left hand fingers up when you sing '100'
5, Jump 1 place again...and repeat.

Partitioning.

Despite my disappointment in Saints chairman Nicola Cortese resigning today, listening to the Adam Up songs has brightened up my day. Partitioning has never sounded so easy.

Counting On - Subtraction

All you got to do is count on !!! This video shows that if numbers are close together when subtracting..then just count on..very simple but very effective.
Resources can be found at www.adamup.co.uk

Percentages

I think this one may need editing very soon as it mentions Villa as a Premiership team. Other than that another simple but catchy number..making light work of explaining percentages.

Number Bonds to 10.

Poor old Adam is having problems with his spaceship and the only way he can get away is by using number bonds to 10. Play through a couple of times then ask children to write down as many number bonds as they can, using their whiteboards or jotters.

Triangles.

Love the sitars on this song which goes through the different types of triangles.

Quadrilaterals.

Bit of a reggae feel to this song. Features coconuts falling on to various shapes and. changing them. run through the clip and ask your children to memorise the shapes and their properties.
Video can also be paused at various points and children can be tested using whiteboards or jotters.

Polygon Song.

Very ballady (is that even a word) this little number about polygons. To make it more interactive children could hold up their fingers to show how many sides are on each shape.
