Muppet Numbers.

Picture
These lovely Muppet numbers would be a great display for any FKS class.

Counting 1 to 20

The Birds (Not Angry Ones)

It is amazing the things you find when looking for videos for the shed, there are a whole load of videos made for cats to watch...this is one of them.
It doesn't have the variety of different birds that the fish video has, but you can look at how many red, how many brown. Also the video can be stopped to count all the birds and stopped a little later, when birds have flown away. Good to look at more birds less birds, bring in subtraction and addition language.

Count the Fish

Apart from being relaxing and very hypnotic, this little video is great for counting.
How many (Insert colour) fish can you see.
How many big / small fish can you see?
How many stripy fish?

Extend by asking how many orange and black fish all together.

Counting to 20

There are lots of counting songs on the internet, but the visuals and simple style of the song make this one stand out.

Count the Animals.

Here are a couple of videos which you can use with your children to count animals in the zoo.

Video 1:

Pause at 8 seconds - How many otters can you see?

Pause at 17 seconds - How many penguins can you see?

Pause at 28 seconds - How many penguins can you see swimming?

From 40 - 56 (then pause) - How many legs can you see ?

Pause at 58 seconds - How many grasshoppers can you see?

You can extend this by saying OK there are 8 penguins, but how many flippers? or legs?
