This is a great infographic that shows how much water is needed to produce just an ounce of food. Loads of possibilities for maths here: Give children a menu of the foods above and ask them how much water it would need to produce it.
Look at weights of meat etc. from the supermarket and ask how many ounces each joint of meat takes to produce. Put foods in order from least amount of water needed to most. Take the data and make a pie/bar/scatter chart with it.

Great British Bake Off Maths.

The Great British Bake Off is a very popular programme. The video clip above shows just how important maths in cooking is, getting the wrong amount of ingredient, cooking for the wrong amount of time or at the wrong heat can cause you cooking to ruin. Here are some videos and resources linked with cooking. Be practical as well get those pots, and and mixing bowls out and start baking.
