Positional Language.
Aimed at the Foundation stage and Year 1, this video shows visually positions of different objects, the tune is also incredibly catchy. Below is an extension of the video where you can test children's knowledge of position. Have to be quick with the pause button though.
Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons.
The Pete the Cat stories are great and this video is lovely for younger children. Lots of opportunities for simple maths problem solving. subtraction of the buttons as Pete loses them, addition with how many holes have Petes buttons got all together. How many legs does Pete have. A whole unit of work could be created from this with excellent opportunities for art, music, ICT and Literacy as well as Numeracy.
